Anith James has an experience of more than 20 years in the legal field. After completing the masters in Mercantile Law, he joined the Cochin Stock Exchange Legal Team and handled legal and compliance requirements of the Exchange. He later on headed the Legal and Human Resources Department of an Australian based multi-national company focusing was receivables management, documentations, drafting HR policies, formulating the annual employee appraisals, labour issues etc.
Drawing on his professional expertise in these sectors, he has developed a leading practice in the field of HR Practice of the Firm. He assist clients with their day-to-day employment law and HR needs, and provides seminars/training on current issues or on topics related to HR/Labour law issues.
He provides advice on Corporate/Commercial transactions and Information Technology/Cyberlaws related issues including legal advice on legal and regulatory compliance, software license agreements, terms of use, privacy policy related to websites and mobile applications etc. He also advises on cyber investigations and actively represents clients in both civil and criminal proceedings before various forums. He is also involved in the preparation of legal documentations of Information Technology related contracts such as software services agreements, technology transfer agreements and confidentiality agreements.
He has been extensively involved in the representation of his clients in Civil Courts and High Courts and Tribunals including Consumer court.
